Our Story

I have spent all of my life serving others. 

As a missionary in Africa, I learned to listen and see life from new perspectives. I developed resilience and cultivated the ability to find a way forward no matter how impossible the challenge at hand. 

As a professor, I helped students learn challenging concepts by making complicated concepts easy to understand. I also aided them in fostering the desire for subjects in which they otherwise had no prior interest.

As a pastor, I helped people formulate a vision of who they could become and then worked diligently to help them realize that potential. I walked with them during setbacks and struggles as well, always keeping a positive vision ahead.

This diverse life experience has contributed to my success in the Health Insurance market and it continues to guide my leadership of Guidepost Marketing Group as I serve veteran and newbie agents alike, and all types in between.

For a couple of years, I was a career agent with Humana. My first year, I was named "rookie of the year," and then I became the #2 producer in the state of IN. That's when I was hit with a huge surprise!

In July 2023, Human let go over 1,000 agents nationwide, and because I was a "rural" agent, I got cut. That's when I realized the potential I was given to offer support to many other agents like myself. So, I started Guidepost Marketing Group, a general agency designed to support other agents in their desire to grow their business.

There are many other larger agencies out there with flashy offerings and great promises. When I talk with other agents, however, many share how they get lost in the size and find it difficult to receive the personalized support they need. 

Having worked with people my entire life, I recognize that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach to supporting people in their quest for growth. As such, I work with agents one-on-one to find out how our agency can best support them in their goals.
